About this Safari:  This is a classic East Africa safari that will take you to wildlife hotspots in Tanzania and Kenya. We have carefully selected your accommodation for value and location, combining lodge-style hotels with tented safari camps. Staying in tented safari camps will surely enhance your experience. Each tent is very spacious with real beds and attached bathrooms. Screened windows let the breezes in, and each has a shaded veranda area where you can enjoy some quiet time surrounded by Africa! Lodge and camp staff are known for their hospitality and you will feel as though you've found new friends in no time. You'll be well taken care of by experienced local guides .

Experience a safari: we've built in time at each location for you to absorb your surroundings. You can expect to see a wide variety of all sorts of animals and colourful bird species, and our guides should be able to position you so you'll get excellent photos.

Sept. 11 • ARUSHA: Transfer from Kilimanjaro airport to the hotel. (Mt. Meru Hotel, B, D)

Sept. 12/13/14 • TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK: Spend 3 nights in Tanzania's 6th largest national park, home to large numbers of elephants and impressive baobab trees - classic Africa! Go on twice-daily safari drives (Tarangire Sopa Lodge, 3B, 3L, 3D)

Sept. 15/16 • NGORONGORO CRATER: Drive with your guide to our value-oriented lodge which is right on the crater rim. Enjoy great location & ease of access into the crater itself. (Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, 2B, 2L, 2D)

Sept. 17/18/19 • SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK: Drive across the Serengeti which is crowded with herds of calving wildebeeste & zebra at this time of year. Also watch for resident species and ever-attendant predators, as well as many bird species. (Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp, 3B, 3L, 3D)

Sept. 20/21/22 • MASAI MARA: Fly into the Mara. Enjoy safari drives, a village visit and a special dinner under the stars. Optional activities can be added (walks, ballooning, etc. (Fairmont Mara Safari Club, 4B, 4L, 4D)

Sept. 23 • DEPART: Fly to Nairobi with time for some sightseeing or shopping. After dinner you'll be transferred to the airport. (B, D)
