Day 1
JRO, Babati

Airport collections will take place at JRO (Kilimanjaro international) and transfer to camp for sunset dinner and overnight. Accommodation will be right on the border of Tarangire National Park at TARANGIRE TREETOPS, on a full board basis.

Day 2
Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast overlooking the entire park, you will go on an AM game drive through this small but heavy Elephant populated park with a picnic lunch provided. After lunch you will leave the park and head up towards the Ngorongoro Conservation area (NCA) crossing the Rift Valley and check into the MANOR AT NGORONGORO for a cocktail and dinner on a full board basis. This lodge is a throw back to East Africa in the 1920’s and is my personal favourite.

Day 3
Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti

After breakfast navigate around the crater’s rim descending to Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric archaeological sites on Earth. It was here in the 1950’s that Louis and Mary Leakey first discovered the fossilized teeth and skull of one of our early man. After a museum visit and on-site interpretation, continue to Tanzania’s most renowned national park, the Serengeti. Home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth, the migratory herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle roam widely in search of green grass and water. As we cross through the Serengeti and make our way to the camp you will notice more and more Wildebeest because during the month of August the camp receives many Wildebeest guests as part of their migratory path. Today accommodation will be at SERENGETI MIGRATION CAMP on a full board basis.

Day 4
Serengeti

After breakfast, you will go on an amazing game drive through the great Serengeti where you will see the “big five” in their natural habitat and -- if you’re lucky -- a hunt and a kill. You will be brought back to the camp or you may opt for a picnic lunch within the park. After lunch, you will go on another game drive through a different part of the Serengeti so you can really take in what this piece of wild Africa has to offer. After both AM and PM game drives, you will be tired and dusty so a well-deserved shower and an amazing dinner with night festivities at the hotel will await you. August is a fantastic time to really get into the Migration around the camp as the Serengeti is teaming with Wildlife. Accommodation will be at Serengeti Migration Camp on a full board basis.

Day 5
Serengeti

Today you will have another day in the Serengeti to go on more game drives to different spots of this amazing park. After check out from Serengeti Migration Camp you will head back to the Southern part of this park and have a full day to explore this amazing piece of nature with a picnic lunch, as we follow the great migration. After a full day game drive you will be tired and dusty so a well-deserved shower at camp await you. Today accommodation will be at Serengeti Pioneer Camp on a full board basis. This camp pays homage to the 1930’s when a safari was widely unknown, and is truly a spectacle of design and luxury in the middle of the bush.

Day 6
Serengeti

Another day of AM and PM game drives thorough the Sothern part of the Serengeti. Today you may opt to just go on an AM drive and spend the afternoon enjoying the views from the camp. You can part take in a sunrise Balloon safari (Extra cost) which leaves at 5.30am and lands back at 6.45am for a bush breakfast in the middle of the savannah. Accommodation will be at Serengeti Pioneer camp on a full board basis.

Day 7
Ngorongoro

Today after a late breakfast you will travel back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) and check into the NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE for an afternoon of relaxation on a full board basis. This lodge is situated right on the rim of the crater with amazing views right down.

Day 8
Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will enter the Ngorongoro Crater, the Earth’s largest unbroken caldera and one of the wonders of our world. Wildly called a “Garden of Eden” the Crater contains the highest density of carnivores, which includes Cheetah, Leopard, and Lion. This is the only place in East Africa where one can easily observe a natural population of black rhino. Enjoy a full day spent in the crater with picnic lunch. Accommodation this evening will be at The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.
